Once upon a time, as far north as north can go, there lived the greatest people that this world will ever see. They are gone now, destroyed just as the world destroys all beautiful things. All that remains are these moments we call memories, moments frozen from the flow of time.

Polaris: Chivalric Tragedy at Utmost North is a game for three to five players set during the final years of the Northernmost People, just before the remnants of their civilization were swallowed up by their own Mistake.

(Not to be confused with an other game called Polaris that is about subaquatic sci-fi)

FINAL ROUND

Polaris

The North Star that lays on the tip of Ursa Minor’s tail. It’s been designated as such for several hundred years and will remain as such until it eventually moves out of that vicinity. It appears still as stars circle around it through the night.

Methuselah

One of the oldest stars, if not the oldest star, ever observed. It is projected to have an age of ~13.7 billion years. For reference, the age of the universe is also a value of ~13.7 billion years (give or take many millions of years).

Premise of a movie:

“Marvel’s The Time Variance Authority”. As a one-off, rated-R movie, this movie focuses on a squad of time displaced heroes sent on a suicide mission to rescue Mobius. The reason why these are the heroes being chosen for this mission is that Mobius is being held captive in “the forbidden timeline”, aka the worst possible timeline in the multiverse. Since this is a suicide mission, the TVA assembled Marvel characters they feel no one would miss.

Basically, Marvel’s version of Suicide Squad, but multiverse.

Based on the final rankings:

1st place survives and is the main protagonist

2nd place also survives

3rd place also survives

4th place survives, but is badly injured

5th place heroically sacrifices themselves to ensure Mobius and the others escape the forbidden timeline

6th place is disintegrated by the main villain

7th and 8th place accidentally step into a “time hotspot” and are horrifically and rapidly aged up so that they die of old age in seconds

9th place tries to abandon the team and is shot dead by the protagonist

10th, 11th, and 12th place die in horrific ways at the start of the mission. This is to let you know that this movie isn’t fucking around.

The ocean rised up, the air became unbreathable and so, 1600 years ago, humanity fled beneath the surface, living under the sea in highly advanced station. Shadowy factions, mutations, hybrids and a mysterious Polaris Flux capable of giving powers to people. If you want to be a Shark (or other fish) person, you can.
